NPC Dialogue Generator

Write a sentence or two about the character and the situation — a grumpy blacksmith who wants rare ore, a fixer offering a risky job — and AI writes a branching conversation: NPC lines, player choices, optional gold or reputation checks, and several endings. Play it through in the simulator, read every node, and export it straight into your game.

How to Generate NPC Dialogue

  1. 1

Describe the NPC and the situation

Who is speaking, what they want and where the player meets them. The prompt helper suggests scenarios and tones if you need ideas.

  2. 2

    Pick a length and conditions

Short (3–5 nodes), standard (5–8) or long (9–14), and whether some choices should check the player’s gold or reputation.

  3. 3

    Generate

AI writes the tree in about 10–20 seconds for 10 credits, in the same language as your description.

  4. 4

    Play it and export

Click through it in the simulator, read the node list, then export a Roblox Luau module, a Yarn Spinner script or JSON.

Choices and endings

Every tree has player choices that lead to different nodes and at least one ending — more for longer trees.

Conditions

Optional checks such as player.gold >= 50 on choices, ready for your game logic.

Playable preview

Test the conversation in the simulator before it goes into your game.

Three export formats

Roblox Luau ModuleScript, Yarn Spinner (.yarn) and plain JSON.

Generate Yarn Spinner Dialogue

The Yarn export turns each node into a Yarn node with options and jumps, and conditions into Yarn variables (player.gold becomes $player_gold). Add the .yarn file to your Yarn Spinner project in Unity or Godot and set the dialogue runner’s start node to the first node in the file.

Make NPCs Talk in Roblox

The Luau export is a ModuleScript that returns the tree: a root node ID and a table of nodes, each with a speaker, a line and its choices (text, next node and optional condition). Put it in ReplicatedStorage, require it from your NPC script — for example when the player triggers a ProximityPrompt — and show the lines and choices in your own dialogue GUI.

The JSON export keeps the same tree for any custom dialogue system or engine.

What You Get

NPC Dialogue Generator FAQ

Is the NPC dialogue generator free?

Each generated dialogue costs 10 credits, and every account gets free daily credits. Two ready-made templates are free to play and export.

Which languages does it support?

It writes in the language of your description, so you can generate dialogue in English, Chinese, Spanish and many other languages.

Does it work with Yarn Spinner?

Yes. Export the dialogue as a .yarn file: nodes, options, jumps and conditions use Yarn Spinner syntax, so you can add it to a Yarn project in Unity or Godot.

How do the conditions work?

Some choices get a condition such as player.gold >= 50. Your game checks it before showing the choice; the Yarn export turns it into a Yarn variable check.

Can I edit the dialogue?

Export it and edit the text in your project or editor. The workspace lets you play and inspect the tree; it does not edit nodes.

Can I use the dialogue commercially?

Yes. You own the text you generate and can use it in commercial games, subject to our Terms of Service.
